Motorhome parking in Paris

Parking a motorhome in Paris has always been a problem, apart from the campsite in the Bois de Boulogne there are few options especially any close to the city centre but now there does appear to be an option - at a price!
It is now possible to leave leisure vehicles in a secure place, seven days a week and 24 hours a day in the 12th arrondissement, near the Porte de Bercy but it will cost you €54 for a day. For motorhome owners who want to visit Paris or just stop off in the capital, parking solutions are very rare. Apart from authorized parking spaces, until now there has only been one campsite, located near the Bois de Boulogne. Now however, a new solution has emerged. The Parkmytruck company has just created a parking area intended solely for leisure vehicles in a parking compound also used by heavy goods vehicles, opposite the Bercy 2 shopping centre, in the 12th arrondissement. Ideally located off the Périphérique, you can access it direct by taking the Porte de Bercy exit.
Although there is a bit of a walk to reach the nearest bus stops and metro stations, the main monuments can be reached fairly easily and the Parc de Vincennes is only a 15-minute walk away.
50 locations are available all year round and are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but booking is only available online - simply reserve your place and pay online (€54 for 24 hours).
The car park is under CCTV surveillance and physically guarded by a dog handler at night. No filling or emptying facilities are available but the car park includes toilets and a rest room with microwave.
The parking is located at 3, rue Escoffier 75012 Paris & booking is available at www.parkmytruck.fr for 54€/ 24 hrs.
