50 GREAT WALKS IN BRITTANY & NORMANDY, £10.99

starting from the Best Aires in Brittany & Normandy

The walks, all in the Brittany or Normandy regions, are circular trails that start & finish at an aire, ranging from 5kms to 29kms in length & from very easy to moderate difficulty. Each of the aires chosen is an aire that is listed as one of the ‘Best Aires in France’ from our guide of the same name (see other page for details).

These ‘walks’ aires are only those that have been included in our ‘Best Aires in France’ guide & the walks start & finish from the aire allowing you to park your vehicle in the relative security of an aire.

One of the main problems that I have found in doing walks when motorhoming is that I have often found a walk that looks inviting only to be put off by the walk car park. Many times I have found height barriers that prevent me from parking my motorhome or sometimes the car park is full, but more often than not, the car park is quite remote leading to security issues. If you are going on a walk that may take a few hours it is not advisable to leave your motorhome in a vulnerable location where it is easy for someone to break in & get away without being seen. I have therefore selected 50 walks that can be undertaken from one of my ‘Best Aires’ without having to move your vehicle from the aire.

The guide has detailed descriptions of each location visited together with tourist information, route maps, photos, detailed directions & GPS coordinates. Full information is given on each walk & aire visited as well as a review, facilities, prices, opening times.

France is one of the best countries to visit in a motorhome, RV or campervan, the roads often have little traffic, the parking is mainly free, and unlike in the UK, overnight parking in a motorhome is subject to few restrictions. In addition to the above, France is the most visited tourist destination in the world, with many historic towns and villages, great beaches, picturesque mountain scenery and much more.

The Walks Guide contains over 200 pages, over 200 photos & 50 pages of maps.

The book has:

  • Services available & No. of pitches

  • GPS Coordinates & Directions
