SITE DESCRIPTION: Les Vignes is a large village style campsite with the majority of pitches being used for static caravans. The touring pitches vary from either 100m2 to 200m2 in size. All are level, sandy, have 10A electric and water connections and some have drainage. There are no divisions between pitches but the majority have shade from the forest of tall pine trees. Good sanitary facilities.

            Facilities on site include a large outdoor pool complex with slides, Jacuzzi, tennis court, crazy golf, boules and a multi-sport pitch. There is also evening entertainment and a children clubs (July/August). There is a large restaurant, bar, pizzeria, takeaway and mini-market on site.

REVIEW

2007    If you like the holiday village type of campsite then you will probably enjoy this place. Facilities are very good; excellent pools, nice big pitches (some are fully serviced and some have water/electric). Good toilets and ablutions, ample shade from tall pine trees, wide tarmac access roads. The restaurant and bar are large but nothing special catering wise. Takeaway is OK.

            Disadvantages are that the beach is 5km away from the site so you either have to cycle or drive. Site is quite remote apart from a couple of small villages-the nearest town of any size is St Paul Les Dax, which is over 60km away.

            The mini-market on site is quite good but as there is no alternative it has to be.
